We think that most of you agree with the values we are working on defining for ourselves and just
might want to join us in making our lives a little better through information technology.
We have set up a frame work on-line for the residents of the mid Columbia gorge to utilise for
better connectivity with one another.
We are hoping that better regional on-line connectivity can lead to better off-line connectivity, and that better on-line
communication will lead to better off-line communication.
GorgeLink is working on becoming a Federally recognised non-profit (the kind that can get

Providing faster community communications through on-line information technology.
OUR MISSION:
GorgeLink is primarily focused on creating and maintaining an on-line hyperlinked community
resources directory, providing the residents of the mid Columbia gorge free on-line access to one another, as well as helping them become more skilled in the use of information technologies through the use of on-line bulletin boards and chatlines. GorgeLink is also focused on helping residents of the mid-Columbia gorge community find resources from
the internet and on the internet by posting indexes of links to quality web content
providers.
GorgeLink offers local non-profit organizations who have no presence on the internet with a
link from their name in its community resources directory to a web page hosted on its site in order
to give mid-Columbia gorge residents on-line access to them.

We believe all communities are INTERDEPENDENT in nature and that providing residents
of the mid-Columbia gorge FREE on-line access to one another through a community service directory,
community access bulletin boards, chatlines, and on-line newsfeeds, they will better realise common
goals and accomplish more than each working by his/her self alone.
We believe that people learn PRIDE through knowlege of learning to access and utilize
on-line informatiom and thereby can enhance their individual and collective satisfaction of life in
the gorge and on the internet.

We believe that better informed citzens make better choices and that making better choices will
enable continuous QUALITY IMPROVEMENT in the lives of mid-Columbia gorge residents,
